I wanna buy an 07 Subaru Impreza non-turbo. I like the stick shift but I also like the automatic. Which has better advantages? Which would you prefer driving?

My hubby swears by the standard transmission in his vehicle.... he has a long commute and with the harsh road conditions we sometimes get in PA, he feels he has more control over the vehicle.
Manuals get better gas mileage,
but only by a few MPG and manuals usually cost less.

I drive an automatic, I can drive a standard, but I do mostly in-town driving and hate to have to do stop and go with a clutch. I prefer to let the car do the shifting for me.

The difference is that the stick shifts develops more speed than the automatic. The automatic is more comfortable and it consumes fuel as the normal one. The problem is if you have some trouble in the transmission, the automatic one is more expensive and complicated to be repaired or replaced.

Turbo go with the stick. Non turbo go with the automatic.

A stick because you have better control in bad driving conditions.

Both are nice but the stick is more fun, you also have better control when driving.
