It all depends on what you plan to do...You can spend very little and still have a great time. There are enough free or very inexpensive shows to keep you busy..This site is a great source for LV info http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com under "VEGAS INFO" >activities< everything there is to do in LV along with times/places/reviews/cost/etc

A couple of great inexpensive shows
Mac King - Harrah's - Comedy/Magic - Full price tickets are $22 buy if you pay more than half price you're not even trying..This guy is great..

Larry G. Jones - Fitzgerald's - The man of 1002 voices, $22 - free for those in uniform(troops/police/fireman/etc) during november..You can spend $100 to see Danny Gans at the Mirage...People who have seen both say Larry is at least as good, if not better...

Great free shows include
Fountains of Bellagio
Fremont Street Experience
Masquerade Show in the Sky - Rio

Best shopping
Forum Shops-Caesars Palace
Desert Passage-Aladdin

Incredible view
Stratosphere Tower - Day or Night

The best low limit gambling is at the locals casinos..I would include the LV Hilton, it's one of the few places you can play full pay (9/6 JOB) nickel video poker...Places like Sam's Town, Boulder Station, Fiesta Henderson and Orleans are great places to play.

My gamblling bankroll is $200 per day, usually two weeks, plus $100 for extras per day...I would think you could have a great time on $1000-$1200...

I don't gamble except for penny slots and an occasional $2 keno game. Food and drinks usually only run me about $50 a day (I don't drink much alcohol). I spend $50 to $125 to see a show, and figure another $40 for gas and incidentals. So it's under $100 plus the cost of the show per day.

I try to time my visits so that they are off-season and I can get a nice hotel roon for $50 to $70 (either the strip or Rio Suites which is just off the strip and pretty nice).

So... you can enjoy vegas pretty cheaply if you are a non-gambler and light drinker.

Las Vegas is the absolute most fascinating and interesting town in the world and with hotelbye you may find out more. Nowhere else on the planet you will discover an area that has all of the travel amenities that merely a total resort destination can offer: lavish casino lodges, fine dining, wonderful stay amusement and state-of-the art conference and industry display facilities. Las Vegas is surely a spectacular town and anything that you'd assume from a world-class city, and more, is right here for the travel pleasure. One of many areas you should visit in Las Vegas could be the Fremont Street, a pedestrian area with all kinds of special sites.

I am a modest gambler, but for a four day weekend in Vegas, I usually take around $1200.00 - $1500.00. That takes care of shows, drinks, food, fun, etc.
