Hi all.I live in Iran.What do you think of these two Iranian pop musics.I've just translated them into English.Do you like them?

Sorry, as you know Persian is a literal language and when I try to translate it into English it may lose its meaning. You have to feel Persian Unlike English that you have to understand it word by word.Persian (Farsi) is a language full of emotion and it's a lot more easier to learn.Because it's very fluent and sweet.There are lots of concepts in Persian that are really difficult to be turned into English.For example in the above song I said "my kind friend".while we use a word that can include lots of meanings, not simply kind.So it's impossible to transfer the emotion of the Farsi sentences to you.However, I know that English has over 9000 words which makes it very difficult to learn..

minoo m, your name sounds Iranian.If you want lots of info about Iran, enable your email and I'll send you a lot of emails.Contrary to common belief, Iran is really a great country for living.The only reason that have made it strange for you is the propaganda you keep hearing via the mass media.political issues never tell the truth.even oo..../1 of it.I wouldn't live anywhere else but Iran.I'm 18 and have recently passed the university enterance exam.If I study 8 solid years and get my Ph.D I'd be an English professor in university and most likely I'll go abroad to continue my studing.

Farsi sounds so liquid and lovely and musical when spoken. I wish I understood it. I am sorry, I do not.

I think it sounds nice. I can imagine the difficulty with translating Farsi into English, some of the lyrics do not make sense, but then again, it was not written in English. But I think the idea behind the music is nice. Great work.

Beautiful use of imagery. Recently North American music has lost a lot of it's imagery and intellegence. It's just the "boom - boom" everyone wants, and some repetative lyrics. For that reason, I've gone back to my 90's music for now, until someone else can make me shiver. I do listen to the lyrics, each and every word before I make up my mind, and I think these lyrics are beautiful. Too bad that level of creativity is totally lacking in english speaking music these days. Thanks for sharing!!

Much is lost in translation, however, it may spur interest in learning a language of Persia [Iran].
The music has many dimensions that are missing in translation. Difficulties in translation [music is missing] the heart of the music, the words... it is like literature and poetry... poetry translates harshly from one language to another. Every language has a cultural context missing in translation to languages of other cultures.
Tranlation is very difficult in a mixed media [music] as an example I have attached some web links below with music samples in the native language of Persia... please listen to one it is the best illustration of my point... you will soon see how music in any other language may be lacking. Music as a contemporary poetry for the masses is even more difficult as in a very short span of time a very difficult cultural theme must be developed and presented in a context [knowledge base] unfamiliar to the listener.
THe difference in the sound of just the music from different cultures is a dramatic as the difference in the way words frame ideas in a cultural context. It is said that Alexander the Great had to conquer vast portions of the world to give it a common language [Greek]... before all could appreciate writings which came later in history.
The native Persian poetry and music is very beautiful... as are the people.

I do not speak Persian but I do have a heart, and I am very caring and loving if anyone that reads this allows themselves to open up and feel...they are sure to get it...
I think it's about allowing ones self to LOVE...all the emotions that go with Love...
ignite and stay bright...don't be afraid of the darkness, when it comes your way...
It is OK to Love...but when sadness comes that's OK too...
I am kind of a glass is half full person so I stay optimistic most of the time....and i feel that is what this song represents...
I think it is a beautiful lyric and if people would open up to the words and allow themselves to read with their hearts and not just their mouth they will understand...

Yes, I did enjoy those songs. Then again I am used to accepting the gifts of other cultures.
Pity the world isn't run by musicians, poets and cultivated people instead of politicians, bankers, economists and druglords. I think we'd manage to feed ourselves O.K. and have time to enjoy life instead of worrying about who has got a bigger red button than the other or who has more dead dinosaur juice under their carpet than the next.

How can he do this if he has no knowledge about what love is or is about ? Then the subject turns into a crying rainstorm and ends in saddness. No, I do not like it at all and the one that speaks of sun then darkness, many times darkness represents evil and sun light is for goodness.Keep your eyes on the beam of the light.Have no fear.

I think two windows is better...I heard of this song from an Iranian woman I was engaged to for a year and a half, but have heard different stories of the life in Iran from her than you try to convey. For instance, if there is such huge propoganda machine for us to dislike you, how did we get this post of yours, and why wasn't it erased, blocked?
