Well, these are not unusual names in themselves, but this story is a good e xample of how people should think before they name their child. lol.
A young couple we once knew about were very much into the family heritage thing, so when they found they w ere going to have their first child, they decided to use some traditional family names from both sides.
Their new baby boy was duly christened F rederick U lich C harles K iser. I can only imagine what that kid had to deal with going through school. LOL

My middle name is Portland (I was conceived there) I think there is a movie star's daughter with the first name Portland...

I went to school with a Richard Head, a Richard R.I. Chard,
a Neveah (boring now), and a Kara Bina, a Venetta, and an Oriander (last 2 are sisters)...
I worked with a Failure T. Fuche - I kid you not... (unmarried female, what WERE her parents thinking? and an A. Shoemaker,
I know an Esmerelda (poor kid), and a Daisy, Iris, Lavender, Poppy, Holly, and Azalea - all from the same family... also a guy called Duty Fuller.
I've heard of Beauty Black, Apple, 'Nanna (shortened by kind siblings, not the Parents, from Bannanna (good grief!), Orange, Orangina, Cherry, Strawberry, Blackberry, -thankfully not all from the same family...
There are some dumb parents out there....
THINK about what names will do to a kid as he/she grows up...

Well, I have a friend whose middle name is Uneek (so it is literally unique, I guess), and a child in the school where I used to work was named D'Oveya (Pronounced Day-ov-ee-yay), which I always thought was mighty bizarre. Oh, and on MSN sometime last year, they did an article on weird baby names and one child was named Evian like the water, and another dude named his baby girl ESPN (but they pronounced it ess-pin). I don't know, you might not get any weirder than the Jello twins. They should make people take a competency test before having (and naming) these babies!!!!

Birdie for a girl definitely

I do know a Bow Hunter....

DeVodka (talk about those people who like to name their kids on where or what they were doing when the child was conceived...hmmm)

My former roommate had a girlfriend named Luv Seamon. Actually her full name was Luv Joy Seamon.

I know its not a weird name, but I think that one of my old high school teachers parents were just mean...her name is Kara Lynn Caroline

I heard the daughter of the man behind Lear aviation was named Shanda Lear

I went to school with a Richard Richardson....guess that would be Dick Dickson. And there was a RIchard Head.:o)

Hear this story:: I suddenly realized I was faced with a bad bad name to try to call out in a crowded room: Kynda Boring. Giving her the benefit of a doubt, I called out with the pronunciation "Kin-da" and left the last name off. She corrected me as she came into the interview room, "No, it's pronounced 'Kind-a'." Ooooook, I just left it at that and suppressed my internal laughter and did the interview. I was filing paperwork later in the day and came across her name in the files and lo and behold, there's a twin sister there. Her name was ..... Michelle.

Girl = Kyalamboka; don't laugh, she turned out to be our valedictorian.

Boy = Bicentennial; I guess you'll always know how old he is!

I've also had several females whose name was "Latrina".

I also had twin females named Loneta and Doneta.

I also remember a female named "Bucaka".

But my all time favorite has to be Frank Zappa's daughters name, Moon Unit.

And after over 3,000 children's names, I can say that the WORST name you can name a boy is "Jessy"; they always seen to be the worst behaved and deliquent males in the classroom.

I can also say, with some experience, that parents who give such wierd names do their kids NO favor. They are not normal names, and the kids generally aren't either!

In Fredricksburg, Texas, there once lived a family - late 1800s - with the last name Hogg. They named their daughter Ima and Ura. Sure, they weren't pretty women, but isn't that kinda cruel? Dad had a weird sense of humor I guess. And If I remember correctly, neither woman married.

Rose Grey.
Blue Bottle
Blue Fly
Richard Head

Yes, I am serious - I've seen those names.

Zappa's kids, as mentioned.

Met people named Ocean, Dolphin, Daemontrae, Laquindisha (seriously) and all sorts of odd things. I can't ever remember them all!

When I was small I had twin girls who babysat me. Their names were Peanut and Cookie! A family who lived nearby had a herd of children, all named for weather and seasons; Stormy, Rainy, Sunny, Breezy, Windy, and Autumn!

I went to school with some kids with different names, such as Pepsi, Harley Levi and even Jack Daniels!!

A friend of mine has nieces and nephews named Prodigy, Lexus, Denali and Hennesey!

A best friend of mine has a brother named Progress Always!

Good question!!

There was a girl in my school, her name was Gordonna (Her dad's name was Gordon, her mom's name was Donna) There was also a girl who's name was Hughanna (her dad was Hugh, her mom was Anna) Turns out ppl that live around me don't have imaginations.
However I have nothing that tops the Jello sisters!! TOO FUNNY!!
