COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) -- Rap star Kanye West was named Best Hip Hop artist but still came off as a sore loser at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Kanye apparently was so disappointed at not winning for Best Video that he crashed the stage Thursday in Copenhagen when the award was being presented to Justice and Simian for "We Are Your Friends."

In a tirade riddled with expletives, Kanye said he should have won the prize for his video "Touch The Sky," because it "cost a million dollars, Pamela Anderson was in it. I was jumping across canyons."

"If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility," Kanye said.

-- Screw this guy, he is what you call ridiculous. I'd like to meet him so i can slap him --

I have to agree with you. I'm a black woman and I think he's a complete f*ck up! Every time he opens his mouth he just embarrasses my race. It's to the point when award shows come and I know he's going up on the stage, I literally change the channel and then I say to myself, "I'll read about on the website later!" I mean it's not just Kanye! But lately, he's the only top artist that has been putting his foot in his mouth. And I've been wanting to put my foot into his a*s! Enough Said!

Although i don't agree with kanye west's public rants and bitching, you have to admit that he is a good rapper (maybe the best of today) and contains the confidence which everybody should model themself of. I'm indecisive about liking him, i mean first you like him because his rhymes are so crazy and they are so original, but then you hate him for this ****. Then you realize he is a big hypocrite.

i mean he compared himself to jesus?!!! What is up with that? I thought jesus's followeres and disciples were supposed to be humble and meek, not loud and controversial.

Great artist, great producer - whatever (I don't know since I do not listen to him). Being good at what you do does not ENTITLE you to win awards.
Kanye West is just an example of what is wrong with society recently. People feel entitled to everything and it is everywhere; it is the jerk who cuts you off on the highway and gives you the finger because you beeped at him; it is the girl who finds a way to get her ex arrested just because he broke up with her; and the cheerleader wannabe who scratches up the face of one who made the team. It is not just famous musicians with big heads.

Being from Chicago and having listen to Kanye since he first came on its hard to see what he has become. Kanye West has been around for years! Before he rapped he produced most of all Jay-Z beats and so on. He is very good we can't take that from him...but in all he is a perfectest. And when things don't go hes way and he thinks he should of gotten recognized then he flips out. As bad as he may got. The cat got mad talent....

I totally 100% agree with you! He thinks he is the greatest thing that has ever walked this earth. It makes me sick.

Plus he thinks he's Jesus or something too...

I love the last paragraph of this article :
"As much as I hate him, I have to admit he's got a point. All this time I've been making my way through life forgetting to tell people how spectacularly awesome I am. Well no more. From now on, every guy I meet is going to get a swift kick to the balls. And as they pick themselves up off the ground they'll be greeted to me saying, "You know why I kicked you in the balls? Because I'm awesome and you're not." And then I'll bench press a car and sleep with their girlfriend."

I know. Sometimes I have to honestly ask myself Is he for real? or does he do it all for publicity... I mean how can someone be so damn into themselves. Way to go Kayne!!!Thanks for setting another wonderful example for the human race. You should be so proud, and the sad thing is you probably are.

I so agree. I mean, he is a good artist, but he isn't the best like he pretends to think he is and he acts very childish. This is the second time in recent history that he has behaved like a spoiled brat. I so have no respect for him anymore.

i totally agree. that was just in bad taste. it's actually pathetic and quite sad that he has to go to such lenghts to get a bit of attention. ruining someone else's special moment just cause he's got an attirude problem. we should feel sorry for the guy, he obviously wasn't as popular as he thought...
