Sure wish I knew what it is which attracts straight women to gay men. Is it because they don't think the gay man is doing something to get in the girl's pants?

Everyone loved Liberace and his performances, too, but either no one snapped to the fact he was gayer than Richard Simmons or they just didnt say anything about it back then. Heck, he even got to be a guest vilian on the old Batman TV series!

As an aside, as long as I'm talking about Liberace and the fact no one pulled his pillowbiting butt outa the closet, it strikes me odd, we as Americans seemed more tolerant of homosexuals as long as straight society wasn't having their faces rubbed in the fact that some men and women were (whispered) 'perverts'.

Back to the question at hand. Freddie Mercury was definitely a talented singer, but "captivated"? Nah, I watch WOMEN to be captivated.

Yes, because he was one of the few that still had the emotion of the song after hundreds of times performing it! It has to be difficult, as an artist, to convey your original meaning and feeling of a song hundreds of times, and most don't succeed. But Freddie did, which is one of the reasons he will "live forever" , in a sense. How can anyone forget his dynamic stage presence and sincerity?? I never will.

Mr Freddie Mercury was a pedophile!!!

Friends of my family lived in Brazil when Queen did a concert in Rio...there was a steady stream of young boys being sent in and out of his hotel room. I wonder if the little boys found some magic and were captivated too?

I find him revolting!!!

Definitely a born entertainer, Queen are underrated as a band and deserve to be bigger than the beatles because they had so many iconic songs.
