I am writing a fiction story about racing and I know about NASCAR's rules concerning what to do if qualifying and the normal raceday are rained out. However, I don't know about their procedure for what they do if both Sunday and Monday are awash. Any help would be much appreciated.

NASCAR will race on Tuesday. With the season being so long I would be hard and sometimes cost prohibitive to have the teams and the spectators return at a later date. As far as I know this has not happened to NASCAR but I remember a Indy car race at California Speedway that was cancelled due to a Forrest fire. Too much smoke. You may want to check but I remember a race at Daytona that was run at a later date due to fires also.

They'd go on Tuesday. I've seen them run races as late as Wednesday. If they can't get it in at all, they wil just resechdule for an open weekend or the end of the season. Remember 9/11?

I do belive that the race will be pushed off until Tuesday. If the race is not completed by Tuesday they will add it to the end of the racing season....providing that the race will not affect the "Chase".

They move it to tuesday and then there is nobody there to watch because all the fans had to go back home for work.

They would try for Tuesday. If that gets cancelled then it would probably be resheduled for an off weekend

they just keep pushing it back until they can't push it back anymore. then maybe on one of there off weeks they might try and go back to that track. as far as i know nothing like that has ever happened since i've been watching it. so i don't know what they would really do.
