Depends, what is the noise? People? Office machines? Phones? Not much you can do about it if it is machines or phones ringing off the hook - not sure what type of business you do, but there are some that are just not quiet - stock market for example. If you are in Accounts Payable in small company however, that doesn't really require a lot of noise....maybe asking your co-workers to kick it down a notch would help? Good Luck!

Try noise cancelling headphones. While the usual use is in conjunction with music, you can also have them on with no background music.

Noise cancelling headphones work by measuring the sounds entering your ears and creating an equal and opposite soundwave.

Earplugs? Headphones? Is it required to be noisy? You could ask if they could keep it down a litte if not. Ummmmm you could run screaming obsenities through the office at the top of your lungs....no one would even notice since it's so noisy. That would be fun.
