It's down to history, either player history, political history, or hooligan history. Arsenal were always connected to Celtic. As A Gooner, I remember when Charlie Nicholas played for us, and I'd see loads of drunken Jocks walking down to Highbury singing 'Arsenal and Celtic, Arsenal & Celtic, La La La La' before games. Many Arsenal players have had Testimonials against Celtic. Also Liverpool with the Catholic element. Rangers have always been linked to Chelsea with their British hooligan Union Jack Protestant view. This is all fact, I've seen it with my own eyes. I knew Chelsea hooligans many years ago who knew Rangers hooligans coming down to fight with them against Tottenham at White Hart Lane. There are lots of unsavoury links in Football!

im not so sure that celtic fans are all liverpool fans.for years celtic and man utd enjoyed a very close relationship, with many a celtic player ending up at old trafford(lou macari, opted for united over liverpool even though liverpool were the dominant team in england,,pat crerand, brian mcclair) it seems to me that when united appointed alex ferguson as manager, a lot of celtic fans didnt like this as fergie once played for rangers.but there are still a lot of celtic fans who like united

i could no longer care to be effortless, i'm a Rangers fan because of the fact i like the club and not because of the fact any loyalist connotations. the united kingdom as all of us realize it replaced into dissolved on the commencing up of final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days via Mr Gordon Brown alongside with the cooperation from the monarch, look it up in case you choose. we at the instant are formally ruled via the ecu so your patriotism is pointless.

chelsea used to have t-shirt sellers outside the ground with blues brothers shirts, chelsea 1 half & rangers the other...chelsea & rangers also have the protestant connection & infact both sets of fans always used to meet up 2gether at the everton v chelsea games...the pub across the road from stamford bridge also used to have a flag of northern ireland hanging from the ceiling on match days, brought into it by fans of course, where anti ira songs would be sung....mind u, i havent been since 1998...so i dont know if its all changed...mind u, i wouldnt think so...it has been going on since i started watching chelsea regularly & that was 1979...hope that helps
