By seeking conscious control over my own body and mind.

By gradually overriding both my factory-settings (genetically inherited behavioural characteristics) and initial operating system (early social indoctrination).

Slowly but surely I am stripping away all that would make me another mundane human and seeking objectivity... to become one with the Universe.
No longer do I fear death.... nor any aspect of my own fate. Not because I think in delusion (as christians do) that something better / worse is coming... but rather because when I am terminated, it won't matter to me any more anyway.
Slowly but surely I am stripping away the usual "moral" ideas triggered initially by survival instinct and reinforced by constant reiteration from society. I no longer think of anything as "good" or "bad"... rather realising only that actions have consequences that in turn trigger further consequences... and realising what each course of action will lead to.

I know that I will have reached the closest thing to perfection when I can be completely ambivalent and thus unbiased in all aspects of life....... by which time I will probably need to have removed myself from society and become a hermit... (mostly because my beliefs are already at odds with social norms.... such as my belief that killing is perfectly acceptable and even favourable in many circumstances).

I already view myself to be a far more rational and objectively minded individual than most of humanity.... as that is what the evidence seems to suggest. It is difficult to be sure, as it would take another similarly objective individual to be able to judge me thus, and others are understandably few and far between.
Of course I understand I still have a few biases, and if anything they have become far stronger for my distancing myself from most..... such as my glorification of freedom and subsequent hatred of those who would take it away (from either myself or others)... and of S*ny.

As Lao Tsu effectively said in the Tao Te Ching: "The Sage is without ado."

That is what I seek to achieve.

To become perfect you must be aware of what is not perfect. What causes harm for instance. Your version of perfect may be different than other peoples version of perfection. So what is perfection in your mind. Identify it, and than make a path to achieve it. It is not important if you are perfect in my mind, but whether your perfection has reached your level of acceptance in your own mind and life So to seek perfect, identify it and then make a path to it. Then stay on the path and help others walk with you to show them the way.

certainly no longer. Human character won't be able to be perfected and replaced into on no account meant to be perfected. we are redeemed no longer rehabilitated. i've got faith that Mat. 5:40 8 is exactly genuine and that perfection is a effective command. for hundreds of years multiple Protestants, claiming justification by capacity of religion, sanctification to holiness, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, have been "happening to perfection." And the full element now could be extra of a cesspool than it replaced into previously; amid the busy artwork of turning into holy and acquiring inner renewal. Throw in a sturdy song service and do your terrific --- a recipe for experience sturdy failure. there is in basic terms one acceptable existence each and every lived and there is not any longer yet another. That existence is imparted by capacity of grace and not by capacity of works. i do no longer think in unlawful and unscriptural striving for perfection; as human character isn't able to perfection, i've got faith in a dying to human character and being perfected by capacity of religion as one is justified. the only perfection feasible is modern in taking over the two the existence and concepts of Christ; to assert with St. Paul to stay is Christ....and although, no longer I, yet Christ liveth in me. In Him i'm acceptable and in obedience to Mat. 5:40 8. Is there a going and a growing to be? No. there is an ending and a understanding.

By being true to my moral compass, the inherent morality that I was born with.

By living by the rules of society that don't conflict with my God-given rules of conduct.

I think character is an individual thing, each soul having his/her own way of expression and of relating to life. If this is so, then being true to this inborn and individual set of rules would be perfection of character.

Zoom in on somebody with a good character and see what they do!
Sometimes you may be disappointed, but usually you will see the path to perfection - as well as a human can do it!

I study the Bible and pray to ask God for wisdom about what to do. I don't always succeed in following what I am learning, but I do make progress, and I thank God I'm not where I used to be. I try to listen when other people are unhappy with me and see how I can improve myself, but I also watch out for people who are critical just to make themselves feel bigger. Perfection is a goal and is not reachable in this life, but one can work toward it.

Make Jesus LORD of my life. If I do nothing but what I see Him doing, I will be perfect. It won't happen in this life, but it's how I strive to live. The fruits of the spirit, love -patience- peace -kindness - gentleness- self control.... always working on these things.
