This sounds strange, especially the part about the police not assisting. But any who, a restaining order can be requested at the police department by your cousin or her parents (assuming parents are around). If parents are around, seems like dad could handle this pretty easy. I wish some jerk would hit on my daughter....but thats not the topic.

If you honestly contacted the police, continue to do so. Maybe they did not understand the seriousness of your statements but if anything happens to your cousin and they don't do anything you will have a pretty nice lawsuit.

Also, you being 15 should probably try to stay far away from this situation, or risk getting yourself hurt by this looney tune.

I imagine that her boyfriend is probably just making threats about killing your cousin. But you should definately bring it to the attention of both your parents and her parents. As for the police not assisiting you this sounds very strange as they are to take all threats seriously and investigate. Your cousin may have to go to court or in front of a Justice of The Peace and have a restraining order placed against her boyfriend. Stay connected with your cousin and let her know that you are there for her support. If things continue to escalate then you'll have no choice but to contact the police again. One more suggestion would be that if your cousin is feeling this threatened then she should try and get into a women's shelter for her own safety.

Catch him gone, then you & her go to the police station. Tell them of her situation, they should be able to get her in a battered womens shelter. Whear R her parrents. Police will probably want to talk with them since she is a minor. Depends on the situation.
Battered womens shelter is not easy but its better than staying in that situation. If he is beating her sooner or later he will beet on the child. The shelter can help her get on housing & food stamps, also they can get her in a training program while she is pregnate. So that when she has the baby she will be able to support herself & the child. She dosent have to stay on welfare forever as long as she putts effort into bettering her situation. You can not do it for her but you can be there for her. Make sure he dosent know whear you are going somtimes you have to wait a few days before there is a opening. There is no need to push his buttons untill she is out. This has to be her decision. If she thinks she can continue to be friends with this guy shes wrong. Hes sick, & unless he gets profesional help he cant change no matter how much he wants to or says he will. I was in the same situation at her age. One night my niece spent the night with us. She was (8 years old) She almost died trying to defend me. I pray your cousin makes the right decision before someone gets seriously hurt. Remember when the police come to you they have to access the situation. If you both go to them they can simply give you dirrection. If the police cant help you contact me. I will help you find a battered womens shelter in your area.

P.S. a man should never hit a woman. Unless she put herself in a mans position & hits him first.

Try and get it on tape or something like that but be careful doing so cause if your cough it may get worse. I would be careful yourself so that he does not end up hurting you for doing something. If you get something that will prove him wrong the police can arrest him in this take into consideration that it is a hard satiation because if he does go to jail he will get even more mad. Also lay charges and make sure he can't come near you or her i the future. This also may make him more mad but your kinda in a spot were no matter what you do he will get mad and he is in control. Stand up and get the control on your side i wish you luck with this as i worry for you both.

Other than a girl kicking a guy in the nuts for what ever reason a man should never lay his hands on a woman or child in anger, being shes only 17 i would hope hes older than 18 and put his punk a__ ion prison for doing a minpr to start with , then theres simple assult, battery on a minor (etc) just wish i could put my hands on the punk, feed his a__ to the sharks the next time i go fishing

i also became pregnant at 17 and the father of the baby was beating me up all the time the best thing she can do is get a restraining order at the police stashion and even if her b/f lied the police have to take that in to consideration and they have it on file that it was reported have neighbors that have heard him doing this write letters to the police or even call and report it to but its a must she needs to get out as soon as possable theres shelters she can stay at for a while that have 24 hour watch they wont let any one near her unless she ask for them to let them in ............now in days theres so much help for things like this when it was happening to me i had to almost do it on my own but i did get out and with 2 kids and now i am here and i am happier than ever before ........................

There are agencies that will give her the help she needs. She must however, take the first step, and go to the police, or DAs office, and put a restraining order on this prick! But the main idea here is, SHE must do this immediately, and take the first step, you and your family cannot do this for her. SHE HAS to want to put him away. She has to want to do this and put an end to it all. Good luck!
