Find big/fine screens; anything less it's a pain for surfing and video, here is partial list:
Palm TX
Palm Life Drive
Palm Tungsten T3/5 with an SDIO WiFi card
Dell Axim x50/51v (remember the v for VGA, not standard sized)
HP iPaq (only 1 or 2 of them are VGA screened)

And the screen restriction pretty much knocked out any smartphones around.

Two pdas are suitable for your situation: the palm TX and the palm lifedrive manager. Both have Wifi so that you can browse the web near a hotspot or a wireless router and video playback. The only differences are that:
- the palm TX has 128 mb built in memory and costs 300$
- the palm lifedrive manager has 4 GB memory and costs 400$

There is this new phone from verizon called the plam treo. It takes pictures you can text go online and watch videos. it's pretty neat
