it all depends on the ages of the children!
The legal requirement (set by the Children Act) is...
0-2years 1 adult to 3 children
2-3years 1 adult to 4 children
3-7years 1 adult to 8 children.
Over 8years up to 20 children between two members of staff (pref one male one female)
one additional adult for every ten children.
As for child protection you should really take a course, level one in Child protection Issues should do it. You could check out the Children Act or Safe Guarding Children.
Or failing that take a Play-worker course, that way you'll learn all the legal requirements you need. Your local adult education centre should have details.
There is so much more you need to know than just ratio numbers! (like child protection, risk assessment, legal framework, record keeping, health and safety,CRB...!)
Good luck!

How is abortion evil? you have for sure by no potential been in a topic have been abortion could be a risk so which you haven't any longer any precise to choose any women persons that comes to a decision to abort her toddler. Aborting a new child is already a complicated adequate decision to make and that i do no longer think of they'd desire to hearken to your opinion approximately it, exceedingly in case you do no longer understand the guy. you do no longer understand why they desire an abortion. something would have got here approximately to them. i do no longer think of in case you get carry of raped and then pregnant along with your rapists new child which you will desire to maintain it and a few human beings in basic terms get pregnant too youthful. does no longer that's greater desirable for an adolescent to abort their new child, get a stable guidance, meet somebody and then have a new child with them? rather of them retaining the toddler and giving it up for adoption or resenting the youngster with the aid of fact it prevented them from having a proper guidance? (i'm conscious that no longer each teenage being pregnant is going undesirable and that i mean no disrespect to all and sundry who has had a teenage being pregnant) If abortion became unlawful there would be an advance in lower back-highway abortion which will properly be very risky and there's a extreme risk of dying. additionally, many women persons could have issues and get heavily ill whilst pregnant, if this occurs the mummy is many times cautioned to abort her toddler as there's a extreme risk she could die. on the tip of day, that's the mothers decision if she needs to abort HER toddler. no person else's. in case you pick to maintain your toddler, it is superb. If somebody else chooses to abort there toddler, it is superb. recover from it, that's 2013, the mummy has a precise to decide on what occurs to HER toddler and HER physique. no longer you.

If you dont know the answer yourself, you should think twice before you open any club involving children.
Why not go to your local business enterprise centre and see if they run a course on working with children and the law.

You would need to get ALL people who are involved police checked, so you would need to contact the police for advice on that. Your local council and education dept. would be able to help, they would have to licence it anyway.
