San Diego Zoo
Sea World
Tijuana

One day each spot. The zoo may be the best one in the world, Tijuana caters to tourists; so there are lots of tourist things to do there and get a flavor for being in a foreign country, and Sea World has shows and sights, including dinner with Shamu the whale, that take all day to see.

You can get to Tijuana by light rail, which can be caught not far from Gas Lamp. You can get to the zoo by bus. I have to believe you can get to Sea World that way, too, but I've never done it...always drove.

If you have a car, in the evening, after spending all day at each spot, drive down to Imperial Beach; then up the Silver Strand to have dinner at the Hotel Del Coronado. The ocean and beach views are wonderful.

Go to Old Town by car or light rail and have Mexican food another evening. There are also old-west buildings and places to see there.

On your third evening, walk from Gas Lamp to Anthony's on the wharf along San Diego Bay. They have the best seafood in the area and great bay views to boot.

The Gaslamp is near Horton Plaza which is a bustling Mall, also there are lots of kewl bars & resturants within walking distance. You must go to the Zoo, and Sea World as well, and if time permits Tijuana, Mexico (take the cheap bus found at the last parking lot before the border). Visit the beach & bring your sunscreen!

I stay in San Diego and that i've got observed that every time we attempt to get a lodge for sparkling year's Eve, Valentine's Day, or perhaps in basic terms random circumstances- no longer even for vacations- lodges listed right here are SO high priced. We circulate to Vegas each summer time and the charges for 4 nights there are extra desirable than 0.5 the fee than it would be for a 4 night stay right here... and we are talkin international prominent lodges like Caesar's Palace and the Flamingo with waterfalls and lazy river swimming pools and connoisseur eating places and 1000+ rooms. no longer basically your dusty previous trip lodge or Marriot. each little thing in San Diego is costly- i've got lived right here all my life. sales tax is approximately 8%, gas costs are $4/ gallon, the known dinner with drink and tip- once you're procuring 2 people (no longer something fancy, in basic terms perchance on the California Pizza Kitchen or TGI Friday's or Olive backyard) is definite to be $50+. Its basically an extremely high priced city! once you're making plans on renting a vehicle then i might actually reccommend staying exterior of downtown and staying somewhat extra away, in say, Clairemont, Mira Mesa, or venture Valley. That way you shop on the ridiculously intense costs present day in lodge Circle or Downtown.
