Different products work differently for everyone. Unfortunately, you're going to have to try things to find out what works best for you.

I have acne, and those stupid red acne marks all over my skin. It's so AWFUL!

I've found that being on birth control lessens my acne. You can get a 3 months supply of birth control pills for $40 at www.smartwomanrx.com.

I've also found that by washing my face morning and night with Noxema has helped with my present acne.

To help fade the scars, just mosturize at night with anything (as long as it doesn't have mineral oil in it) and that moisture will eventually fade the marks away. Yes, even if you have oily skin, it's still good to moiturize with something light.

Certain makeup's will aggravate my acne. And other products don't. So you'll have to have some trial and error to find what makeup doesn't mess up your skin. As always, go for "lightweight" and "oil free" stuff.

Well, for the acne scars, i've seen kits that help make the scars less noticeable. You could check at Target or Walmart or Rite-Aid, depending on where u live. Also, there are a lot of different kinds of acne treatments out there too. There's clean&clear, proactive and other things. Clean&Clear works good. Then, it depends what kind of makeup ur using. There are powders and foundations that are made for oily skin. You just have to look around some. If you go to one of the places that i suggested earlier, I've seen makeup brands have makeup for oily skin. I forgot what brand it was, but they have a product called "pure skin" or "pure makeup" or something like that. But ya, u just have to look around some. I hope i helped at least some.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Use the L'oreal Acne Response System and the Acne Peel System. They can be found at the drug store. I have been using both and it has helped my acne as well as some old scarring to go away. I am so happy with the products! YOu can also use Mederma Scar ointment on a twice daily basis and that help alot too!

I don't know how to make the scars lighter but something that works really good on zits is, Clearasil Ultra! I use it and it is amazing! I don't really think make-up causes zits if you remove it every night b4 you go to bed, if i don't wash my face b4 i go to bed then i will wake up with a zit but if i wash my face i hardly ever get them and if i do i just use Clearasil! Good Luck!!!

I use Aveeno products. Its avalible at any drug store. There is one product that is a small tube called Clear Complextion Correcting Treatment. It helps lessen the redness of the scars you have and adds soy and Vitamin A to the skin to help older scars become less noticeable. I also use it on zits that are coming because it helps with stop them so they don't get bigger and leave more scars.

Use the proactiv system. It works miracles. They have a skin lightening lotion that will help the scarring. Alternatively, you can go get a laser treatment from a plastic surgeon. It's pricey, but that is where you can get some remarkable results. You *can* get great results - DO IT. Walking around with acne can be so demoralizing.

Washing with safeguard bar soap (no perfumes, antibacterial bath soap), more than twice a day, at least once in am and once in pm, will help your zits. Do not pick your face or place your hands on your face far any reasons; unneeded oils will accumulate there.
Do not go to sleep with makeup on your face, PLEASE!!!
Causes zits!! Uses Make-up fit for your type of skin only.
