Because people need money in poor areas-so they commit crimes or get involved in illegal activities to have a bigger income. They steal, sell drugs, ....

simple economics. those who have are protected more from criminal elements than those areas where less economically people live and work. this is a major factor in what individuals do to gain some sort of economic stature in the community as a whole. also. the types ofcrime will vary depending on the area's economy. wealthy areas have little or no crime, not because of their incomes, but due to the political power exerted by the people in the area. less advantaged areas haven't sufficient political clout to force the politicians to address the economic problems in those areas. it only when the people themselves force the politicalforces to address the problem that anything is done to improve the economic status and hence increase the political clout which drives the changes to the areas problems.

The truth is noone cares about the poor or at least not those with influence second police dont patrol the poorer neighborhoods

I always thought that it was spurred by a sense of hopelessness. People may have food to eat, clothes to wear, and a roof over their heads, but if they completely lack a sense of being able to progress and also lack a strong feeling of God, there may be a tendency to revert to crime.

because people who have money and live in rich areas respect one another because they've all paid the same price to get there.. where as the poorer don't even respect themselves let alone each other.. unfortunately it's the way of the world and different society's class and cultures

Because the people in poor areas would rather steal and harm innocent people to get what they want than work. Not working is why most people are poor.
