I read an entire book on the subject just a couple months back while I was pregnant with my first. The answer, thankfully, is YES YES YES! Unless your midwife or doctor has told you otherwise, don't let people scare you out of enjoying sex during your pregnancy. Your baby will not be hurt! The only times you should not is if you have a "high risk pregnancy"(you've misscarried before) or if you have already lost your mucus plug or ruptured membranes (for reasons of infection risk). If you have major bleeding after sex (a bit of spotting is usually ok) then you may want to seek professional advice. So, unless you have super crazy swinging from the ceiling sex, and you are having no super weird symptoms, than GO FOR IT. Enjoy your pregnancy! You are a lifegiving goddess right now, you should feel like one.

only women who are classified by the doctor as high risk must not have sex during pregnancy...and believe me they will tell you.
Even with a history of 3 miscarriages, I was allowed to have sex during pregnancy.
Generally those who should not have sex are those who are experiencing bleeding, or early contractions. Sex can help get birth started.....so if there is a risk of premature labor you must not have sex.
The baby is really well protected in it`s little amniotic world. oTo injure the baby, the mother would be pretty hurt too. The uterus is also well sealed off from the outside world too.

Absolutely, having sex while pregnant is safe and healthy. The baby actually enjoys that rhythmic rocking. It lulls them to sleep.
The only time you should stop having sex is if there is a medical reason not to, or when it becomes uncomfortable. As you get larger sometimes it does get to be uncomfortable. Experiment with different positions and this will elevate the problem. I am sure your partner will be understanding and accomadating. Good luck.

No definately not. You can have sex all the way through the whole pregnancy. It's perfectly normal. It won't hurt the baby at all. In fact it's said to help speed up the labor proccess when you get to the end. The only time it is dangerous is when your water bag has already errupted, if you have sexual intercourse it can cause a nasty infection.

It is perfectly safe to have sex while you are pregnant unless you are bleeding or there is some other medical reason in which case the doctor will tell you not to.
As your tummy gets bigger and is sort of "in the way" you will want to experiment with different positions. Don't worry tho, where there is a will there is a way!
Enjoy your pregnancy and have fun!

Have sex now because you can't for a few weeks until after the baby is born. If you are feeling uncompfortable and any pains- tell your boyfriend that sex will have to be continued tomorrow. If there is any bleeding afterwards go straight to the doctors. In my case the cervix was being irritated and we needed to wait until it was up.

Check with your doctor - that's your best bet. I had a miscarriage in my first pregnancy and am now pregnant with my second. This time around, my doctor has advised me to refrain from sex until after the first trimester. I'm now just past my 12 months and my OB appt is a week from today, so I'm going to check with her then as to whether my husband and I can resume sex. Poor guy (and me!)!! We've been patient for 3 whole months and it's starting to drive us bonkers not being able to have sex!! :o)

No , it wont hurt the baby , and yes it is okay to have sex during pregnancy, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. But if you are worried that it can hurt the baby , ask your doctor for your own peace of mind -------Mother of Five

No, it won't hurt the baby. You can have all the sex you want until the doctor says you need to stop, or if it ever starts hurting you. Good Luck!

No, it is okay to have sex during pregnancy...I know I can't because I am bleeding and they don't want me to lose my baby....So they told me not to have sex and to stay off my feet...The doctor will tell you, the last 6 wks of your pregnancy do NOT have sex...Alot of people does, because they want the baby out, but sometimes, it will hurt the baby....Just talk to your doctor!!!! Listen to your doctor's advice, they know what they are talking about, if the doctor tells you not to have sex the last 6 wks, don't....Don't listen to what other people says...Good Luck in your pregnancy!!!! Congrats!!
