I believe that a name given to a child should be meaningful and strong. It also should represent what a child would be when he or she grows up. Not only that, when the child grows up, he or she will be proud of the name given to him/her. At the same time, the name must not be too common. Imagine having the same name as your other classmates? You know how it feels when the teachers get mixed up.

As for me, I really love the name Genevieve, which means woman of the people. Therefore, I hope my daughter one day would grow up to learn to serve the nation and charitable to the less fortunate. As for boy, Gavin definitely sounds cool. It means a white hawk. Thus, I want my son to be brave and at the same time, free-spirited.

You can search the web for the meaning of baby names. Two really good ones I suggest are

www.babynames.com
www.babynamesworld.com

Other names that I really like is

For boys: Nigel, Andrew

For girls: Charlotte, Heather

resist the tempation to name it peekabooo street no matter how cool it sounds... it takes a peron with olympic spirit to live that one down...AND don't name it moonunit for dessertdog no matter what hollywooders do... it might work in Beverly Hills but most other places kids will not be so kind at school

you can be more creative with a middle name and the middlename can be a verb or place

give some examples of things you like or would like them to strive for or be identified with... or maybe a man or woman you really admired enough to name them after
