Well, if you want to have the entire story (just for now until Peter Jackson decides if he wants to film the Hobbit), you can put them in this order:
The Hobbit (Animated)
Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring
Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers
Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King
But if you want the most recent ones, just go with the LOTR movies listed above and ignore The Hobbit.

You should try to find a copy of the movie the hobbit it tells bilbos story of finding the ring much more like the books
