NO this is not normal! How long have you been married?? Has he ever seen you naked?? How about a bathing suit? Bra and undies? If you are uncomfortable about being totally naked , try just your bra and undies. He is YOUR HUSBAND. He marrried you because he loves you for who you are not what you look like under your clothes!! Maybe you grew up with parents that would mention being naked or showing your self was a "bad" thing? My husband is the SAME WAY! It's like pulling teeth with him when it comes to seeing him totally naked! When he gives in, he'll close his eyes, like he doesn't want to see me looking at him. It's very frustrating, let me tell ya and I always found it odd. But then I got to know his parents better. They're of a religion that think nudity is bad. That sex is only for producing children and masturbating or any other sexual pleasure is wrong. Am I safe to assume that all you have had with your husband is 'intercourse' with no other form of play? Talk to you husband and ask him if this bothers him. Tell him how you feel about your own embarrassment. Perhaps if you both talk to a sex counselor you can find out together WHY you feel that way. Then perhaps you can try to come out of your shell by switching roles and letting him make love to you while you're totally nude and he remains fully clothed.

No this is not normal. What about your body do you find so horrible that you won't share it with your husband.
If he loves you he would never ever make fun of you. He would only love you more for sharing yourself with him.
This is the kind of things people do when dating. in the back of a car or wherever. Never after marriage.
You have a serious self image problem. You do need to work on this. You need to come to understand that there is nothing more beautiful than a woman's body.....no mater what the form.
You clearly have a husband that loves you very much.
But I am sure he is also disappointed. He is giving you the time you need to work this out and you really need to.
You truly need to find out why you are so embarrassed. Not just for your husband but for you. A major part of the joy of sex is sharing each others body. Not just intercourse but the feeling of skin on skin and truly enjoying with your partner the way God made you. Remember clothes are man made. None of us come into this world with cloths on.
Many women who are this way were abused as a child and come to believe their body is gross or not their own.
Please...for your sake....seek help on this.
There is no greater gift you could give your husband....and yourself.

You should get rid of that fear and let your husband see all of you. It will make sex better for him because men are visual creatures. You should not be ashamed of your body he married you because he loves every part of you. If you do not show him then he will start looking elsewhere rather it be porn or another person. I am a big girl and have been with my husband for 8 years 5 of those married and he has the lights on everytime we make love. I did not like it at first but now I am so use to it, it really doesn't bother me that he sees me naked.

That's unusual. Usually married couples have seen each other naked. You should feel comfortable enough to be naked in front of him. Or you could just have sex with the lights off.

No, this is not normal. Seems like you've got a huge self esteem issue. You need to remember that your husband loves you. He married you. Do you really think that he'd take one look at your body and not love you or want to get a divorce??
Part of being intimate with your husband is sharing all of yourself. Go get naked with your husband!

Yes, their a lot of women that don't like for a man to see them naked. I don't myself and I'm real slim it's just a thing that some woman have I don't know if it is bashful or just pride. I;ll be honest I don't like to see a man naked because you need something for the imagination. if you want to see people walking around naked, join a nudist colony. I think it looks nasty just stepping around naked turns me off. They look a better and lot more sexy with a towel tied around their waist.

After being told to be demure for your whole life it is sometimes difficult to accept that it is now okay to be naked in front of a man.
This man is your husband now. It sounds like you both are being way to patient. Why don't you try bathing together or just being naked with each other in a non sexual way to get comfortable with each other.

It is not normal, however you must know the reason why, sounds a little like you have either been abused in your past or treated very badly to make you feel this insecure! I would go and get professional help, if your husbands very loving then maybe you could explain why it is you are shy assuming it has something to do with the past!Good luck

No it is not normal, but you need to pick your comfort level too. What about moving towards nakedness with him by wearing less next time (just the shirt) or just a bra and panties... then when you're comfortable wtih that move towards nakedness. If you love eachother , you should love all of eachother and not be embarassed or disgusted by your partner....
