I am 10 weeks pregnant and my hips are killing me during the night and sometimes during the day. Is this them spreading cause of the baby or something else? Also has anyone else experienced this and what did you do to help with the pain?

Yes, I experienced this, and here is what I did. I found that it was the worst when I laid on my sides (putting pressure on the hips directly.) So I bought a nice fluffy body pillow, and it became my sleeping companion for the entire time (I actually got in the habbit of it so much that I still sleep with it.) Because you're pregnant, you probably avoid your stomach and your back for sleeping positions, so I put the pillow on one side of me, and rolled to my side, and a little further (almost to my stomach, but propped up on one side by the pillow.) This relieves pressure from your tummy with the pillow, and you're not on either of your hips. That is what worked for me :) I also found that later in the pregnancy when I got bigger and couldn't sleep like that anymore, I would hug the pillow, put it under the belly for support, and prop it between my knees - this kept my hips and back in alignment so I could sleep better. Best wishes! I know sleeping can be a chore when pregnant! (by the way - if you can avoid the Wal Mart Body pillow do it! They weren't very fluffly for very long, I found a really good one at Bed Bath and Beyond if you have one in your area)

it could b pregnancy related. when u sleep on ur side put a pillow between ur knees and calves. this keeps ur hips spaced like they should b. sometimes even when i wasn't preggo i had that problem and the pillow trick worked for me. it takes a while to get used to but u will feel better immediately and that will motivate u to stick with it. sorry about the pain, u can take tylenol extra strength to help and it will not hurt the baby at all. congrats on the baby!!!

Well, your still early on, but yeah your bones are having to deal with the fact your uterus is growing. As you get further into the pregnancy your bones with start to soften and spread up until you give birth. Its just the aches and pains of pregnancy. Im not sure how to stop it from hurting though. I guess you could use a heating pad or something warm to sooth it? Also do alot of repositioning, or massage the area.

I have bad hips to start with and they were even worse when I was pregnant. I found that sitting up straight with my legs propped up or my feet flat on the floor really helped keep my hips in line. Ask your doctor first, but I took Tylenol for the pain. Your doctor should tell you that this is fine, just steer clear of asprin or ibuprofin. Good luck and stay healthy!

Yes! Same problem. It is just your boby readjusting itself for the baby. My hips still ache from time to time (over 1 1/2 yrs later). Since you are pregnant, the only thing you can safely take is tylenol (but check with doc first!) Congrats!

On the couch with a pilow between my knees was the most comfortable place for me to sleep when dealing with hip pain during my pregnancy.

There is a video called Yoga Mama that really helped me with my hip and back pain. The pain is normal caused by shifting of bones and ligaments to prepare your body for baby's arrival. Congrats!

During your pregnancy your body produces a chemical called - of all things! - relaxin. It loosens the joints up so the pelvic cradle can expand during birth - also loosens up the bones in your feet, so don't be surprised if you change a shoe size after pregnancy.
Sometimes you go back to your regular shoe size, others don't.
You need to get a body pillow & try to support your body as much as possible, also consider getting one of the foam mattress pads or the egg-crate support pads to help cushion & cradle you. Good luck & congratulations!!

I love hiphop, but it surely aint even that severe. Yeah, why could they are trying to kill anything that's serving to them consume?? Thats dull. Another Lupe F. fan with a tousled opinion of rap. Dont imply to sound like that Britney Spears fan dude however allow me say this, "Let Wayne and Soulja Boy by myself!!!". They aren't killing hiphop. They are simply doing what they do. Lupe enthusiasts ***** approximately how his album didnt promote that good however Wayne offered a mill in every week. Well concentrate up Lupe enthusiasts, Buy the rattling Lupe album and dont get the bootleg. Thats why Wayne offered a milli in view that his enthusiasts truthfully BOUGHT his album. Lupe supposedly has over three million enthusiasts however he handiest offered one hundred,000 in his first week then they desire to *****??

I am 39 weeks pregnant and my hips have been hurting for several months. Especially if this is your first baby. I think helps when my husband just rubs on them. Also you want to check with your doctor first, but tylonol helps alot.
