IF you are on the receving end: Flowers are nice but they die, chocolate is good, but it goeds to quick. Valentines day should be a gift that comes from the heart. Something home-made, maybe cook a nice dinner, or go out for dinner. I know I made my sweetheart a blanket and pillowcase to match and he really liked it. The simpler you can keep it, the better!!! just remember less is more!!!! too many things have become comercialized, Valentines day is about giving from the heart. Just spending time with each other on that day is the best gift you can give!!!!

According to The Welcomed Consensus, the greatest gift a woman can give is a turned-on body.

Not ever having actually received such a gift, I guess my next suggestion would be a really spiffy hammer.

Anything that takes time and thought. Flowers and cards are so last minute contrived. When you spend your energy and time on something it shows that you care more then just the obligatory.
