if hey will take everyone keys so they dont get to drive themselves wile drunk, if the house is big enough and the parents dont keep a gun somewhere in the house, if it going to be a night of fun and the parents are taking responsibility of the night; the i'll say its okay to let your daughter attend. it sounds like its going to be fun and the truth is wether you let her go now or not, there will be a day she'll be open to a more dangerous but exciting party and you might not be aware.... so, let her have fun.
see it this way, if anything goes wrong, you have someone to arrest!
Good luck.

why would any parent want 18 year olds to drink? They are going to get into trouble if the police find out they're shaparoning and sponsoring under age drinking! They are breaking the law! you have to be at least 21 in most states to drink alcohol! and some might not even take alcohol in the body lightly and end up getting drunk and pissing on themselves and or worse, alcohol poisoning! The least thing they should worry about is if someone gets drunk, but I truly think the parents are irresponsible for allowing under age drinking at their house party and thinking that it's okay to break the law.

Do you know the parents? Can you trust them? It sounds like they are taking all the necessary precautions for a party involving alcohol. As long as the parents are going to be supervising the alcohol consumption there should be no problems. Just make sure you talk to your daughter about how much alcohol she should drink and the dangers of drinking too much.

If you don't mind the fact that your daughter is going to get drunk with a bunch of other people, let her go. If you have a problem with that, have her stay home. Simple as that.
Since you asked for my opinion, my opinion is that I would be too worried about my daughter drinking so much that she passed out or got alcohol poisoning or engaged in harmful sexual activity, or even could be taken advantage of sexually. I wouldn't let her go. She'd probably hate me for a couple weeks, but I don't care. It's my job to look out for her well-being, whether she likes it or not.

Its smart for the parents to at least recognize that teens do drink and as a precaution they are trying to take the matters into there own hands. They sound like smart parents and if you trust your daughter and them I don't see why not. Make sure she knows the pros and cons of drinking and the outcomes....

WELL WOULD YOU RATHER HER GO OUT AND DRINK AND DRIVE BEHIND YOUR BACK... I KNOW I DRANK BEHIND MY PARENTS BACK AND I WISH I COULD HAVE DRANK AT A FRIENDS HOUSE TO BE SAFE.
I WOULD TALK TO HER ABOUT IT.... LIKE IF THERE ARE BOYS ATTENDING NO SEX AND DONT DRINK TO GET SMASHED... GET YOUR OWN DRINKS SO YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS AND WHATS IN IT.
ALSO TELL HER IF THINGS GET OUR OF CONTROL AND SHE DECIDES SHE DOESNT WANT TO BE THERE ANY MORE SHE CAN CALL AND GET A RIDE FROM YOU SINCE SHE WONT HAVE HER KEYS. OR YOU COULD JUST DROP HER OFF.
IT SHOULDNT BE THAT MANY KIDS ANY WAY BECAUSE IF THINGS GOT TO ROWDY THE COPS WOULD BE CALLED AND ITS ILLEGAL TO GIVE MINORS ALCOHOL... SO THE PARENTS WOULD BE LOCKED UP AND FINED. THINK ABOUT IT.

Her parents are so innovative! What better way to get teens liquored up than to throw the birthday party? Obviously, the parents are a little freaky and like 'em young and barely legal. Nice!!!

That's an incredibly sensible thing to do when 18-year-olds are getting their first (legal) experience with alcohol. It depends on how you feel about your daughter drinking at all, of course, but I wouldn't hesitate to let my daughter attend such a party -- it sounds like there are smart people in charge.
