well....I think it depends on why you are not geting your period.
If you are nursing your first child (and so don`t have your period back)...then YES......because you can get your period back at any time and you always ovulate BEFORE you get your period.
If you are not getting your period due to medical problems or because of being underweight....it is likely that you are not ovulating. If you want to ovulate then you have to fix the problem. Underweight women generally have to put on more weight to get thier periods back before they will ovulate.

If you aren't getting your period you probably are not ovulating. But as a previous poster said, ovulation happens before your period so at any time, even though you haven't gotten your period, you could have ovulated and your period would come two weeks later if you don't get pregnant.
I guess I'm trying to say, if you are trying to conceive and you are not getting your period, you need to see a doctor and get put on clomid or something else that stimulates ovulation, because chances are, you are not ovulating on your own. If you are trying to avoid pregnancy, you need to be aware that even if you haven't been getting your periods, you could still ovulate at any point and get pregnant.

You ovulate about 2 weeks before you get your period, so you are fertile before your period comes. If you ovulate and the egg is not used, then you will have a period.

I was having my period but I was not ovulating. So, I could not get pregnant at all. I now take medicine to help me ovulate.

Yes. You can actually get pregnant without ever having a period. This happens occasionally to women who have already had children. They ovulate before their first period postpartum and become pregnant during that time. Yikes.

A friend of mine had not had her period for several years due to a birth control pill that she was on. She now has a beautiful 4 year old daughter that was conceived during that time. So I would think that the answer to that would be yes... I would assume that it would depend on the reason that you are not having your period, and that you should probably check with a doctor just to be sure.

As far as I know the only time you ovulate when you aren't getting your period is if you are breast-feeding but I could be wrong. Good luck.

If you're not getting a period, then it sounds like your hormones are whacky and chances of ovulating are pretty slim.
