please can someone tell me how long the average womans cycle is and if 38 days since last period i should be worrying..thank you

The average cycle is anything from between 21 and 35 days. 38 seems a little long, but nothing to worry about yet. First and most obvious - check you are not pregnant. If there is no chance of that it could be a few other things, stress can affect your cycle, so can weight loss or gain, coming off the pill can make your cycle erratic, or you may just be one of those women with a really irregular cycle, I used to be and sometimes had 40 days between periods, I have settled down now though.
If you are worried see your GP.

It is normally 28 days. If you've had an unprotected intercourse, then there is a chance that you are pregnant now. However, pregnancy is not the only reason for the period to stop. There are many reasons that can stop your period, so I recommend you to see a doctor as soon as possible, if 38 days is unusually long for you. Book an appointment with your GP, or go to a walk-in family planning or GUM clinic. You can call NHS direct to find a clinic in your area.

Woman's cycles vary. It could be as long as 40 days and as short as 20. Extremes like that are rare, but not they are not always a reason to worry. If you experience abnormal pains, discharge, or not feeling well on regular basis, you have to check with the doctor.

Average is 28. How long is your cycle normally?
Could could be 10 days late, if so take a pregnancy test.

Usually 28 days, but mine is all over the place. But have ovarian cysts so never going to be regular. Nowt to worry about until you try to conceive then you might need a chat with your doc to work out which days of the cycle you are ovulating.

They say it is 28 days. But i seriously don't know anyone who is exactly 28 days EVERY cycle. My norm has been 36 days the past few months and all of a sudden this month it was 41! Go figure, us women have unpredictable bodies.

the average cycle would be 28 days but not everyone is the same. my cycle is every 34 days, sometimes different.

38 days is a little long - unless this is normal for you. If not normal, try a urine test

21 days is a normal cycle and worrying also plays a factor so relax and wait a day or two then take a home pregencey test then go to your local health department and get a exam
