Thanks giving day is on Thursday, November 23, 2006 in the United States this year. Thanksgiving is a U.S. holiday in late November that commemorates the good harvest of the Pilgrims in 1621.

Yes the dictionary is the way to go. However, this is also a matter of point of view. If you just celebrated Christmas then obviously Thanksgiving will follow it so long as you don't get hung up on the idea that it will be next year. :)

Thanksgiving is a U.S. holiday. Other countries don't exactly have any reason to celebrate the whole pilgrims/indians/turkey thing.
