England, Spain, Barbary Coast States, Germany, Austria Hungary, Italy, Japan, North Viet Nam, Iraq.

The first war that an outside power attacked the United States was not a declared war. Our own Revolution against Great Britain was the first conflict with an outside power after we were an organized state. Then once again we were at war with Great Britain during the War of 1812, in 1846 the Mexican-American War, Spanish-American war 1898, In World War One you had the Central Powers which were made up of Germany, Austro-Hungary, Bulgaria, and Turkey (Ottoman Empire). In World War Two the Axis Powers were made up of the Major Axis Powers which were Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Imperial Japan. You also had the minor Axis Powers that included, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Yugoslavia. There were also there I guess you would call Co-Belligerents of Thailand, and Finland. Japan also had a number of puppet states that they put into power which included Manchukuo (Manchuria), Mengjiang (Inner Mongolia), China (Reorganized Government of the Republic China at Nanking), Burma (Ba Maw regime), Philippines (Second Republic), and (Provisional Government of Free India). Germany had the puppet states of Albania and Italian Social Republic. Then you had the Axis collaborator states of Independent State of Croatia and France (Vichy regime). World War Two was the last declared war against the United States though U.S. Forces have been involved in many other conflicts. In 1798 the United States were in the Quasi-War against France, The First Barbary War in 1801, the Second Barbary War in 1815. The Philippine-American war, the Korean War, Vietnam, Haiti, Granada, Somalia, Gulf War one and two, and Afghanistan plus many other minor military incursions in the old Yugoslavia area and with the bombing of targets in Lebanon and Libya.
