Hi,
you need to ask yourself first, why you need a website?
do you want to "show off" for your friends, or do you want a website that attracts traffic and business?
If you want the latter, you need to find a topic which is closely related to your business and which will interest many peole.
Offer great useful content and the internet users will find your website and you'll attract lots of traffic. Convert these users to "buyers" by first giving them the information they're seeking and then offering them your products or services.
