I think he is a bad father. If he can't do a basic care for his child, what kind of love does he really have? My husband has a weak stomach, and he took him a long time to get used to it, but he did and he always said he would because it was his job as much as mine because she was HIS daughter too. Sorry, I wouldn't put up with it!

Incredibly lazy (changing a diaper is probably the easiest thing a parent can do for his or her child), and incredibly selfish (would rather let his child sit in a dirty diaper and develop diaper rash because changing the baby might mean he [God forbid!] has to get near poop.) I would also say in some cases it's a case of male ego/chauvenism. Changing diapers is "womans work."

How old is the child? If it is an infant, some fathers have a fear of changing the baby's diaper because it is so small and they are afraid of hurting the baby. If this is the case, give it time. If you are talking an older child, then I think they need to get over whatever it is that is stoping them and change the diaper!!!

I think a male that won't change a diaper isn't a real man. My beloved always helps out, he doesn't like it, but who does? He even changed diapers of babies that didn't belong to him. Someone had to change them when they were infants, and its pay back time. You shouldn't have kids unless you are prepared to take on ALL the responsibilities that are involved.

If the man is the child's father...get over it quick there are going to be a bunch more where that comes from! LOL
If its another guy that doesnt have kids, if he does have kids refer to the father statement.
If its grandpa, he may everynow and then but dont count on it. LOL. I have had this situation (he makes grandma change them when they have the little ones).
I think men are big babies about diapers anyway....lol

I think everyone should stop making excuses for this guy. If he is a REAL man, he should be glad he has the opportunity to do this small thing. Nobody says he has to be overjoyed or excited, but he does need to accept the fact that someone had to wipe his butt for the first couple of years! Now it's his time to step up to the plate and be a grown up. He might also think there may come a time when someone will have to wipe his fanny for him again in his old age!

he better get over it he helped make the baby why should you be stuck with the "dirty" job all the time? me and my hubby take turns I'm home all day and he works so when he gets home he gets all the diapers and on his days off I do one and he does the next one it's not a big deal if it doesnt totally work and one of us ends up changeing 2 or 3 in a row it's just kinda a guideline so that one of us doesnt have to do them all

my boyfriend is 31 and he has never changed a diaper. alot of his friends have kids so he has seen it be done a thousand times, and he doesn't mind watching me change my son's diaper. he said if i wanted him to change my son's diaper he would. but i said he should save it for when he has his own kids. but if we continue to be together he may have to change a few. like if i'm sick or he's watching him or something.

i think you should beat him with the dirty diaper or take all the dirty diapers and leave them around the house and tell him that if he does not start helping out thats the sent he'll be smelling for a LONG TIME.
