I agree with Lolli. Why should someone from one particular country get preferential treatment over another country?

They don't get them tax free. That's just a lie designed to stir up racism and hate.

Restaurants suit people who are willing to work phenomenally hard for the sake of their families. Ownership of same means that they get more of the money than if they were waiters.

The service industry is becoming increasingly less white, especially the lower down the pay scale you go. The breakdown in that depends on the demographics of the area. In my parents' city, it's all black, where I used to stay it was mostly Asian. Too many reasons for that, mostly involving hiring practices, people from other countries and minorities being easier to exploit and more willing to put up with lousy conditions.

Advertising is all about who they're targeting as their customer base. In other words, who they think they're going to get the most money out of. The stereotype is that Indians are sending all of their extra money back home to their families.

It's good that you're noticing these trends and looking for the reasons behind them. Often it's three parts economic and one part prejudice. Keep asking. And don't buy into the easy answers like tax breaks -- only the wealthy people get those.

While there may be some Federal tax incentives for people just beginning in business, I don't agree that certain ethnic groups are being singled out to receive specific tax incentives. I can find nothing regarding that on-line. I think the answer is more cultural. The immigrants from places like India and the Middle East generally tend to be more middle class or even higher educated persons with money (which is how they managed to leave their countries to begin with), which they can then invest in franchises. Also, they often come over in larger groups and extended families that can all pool their resources to get an advantage in investing.

On the other hand, minorities such as Mexicans often tend to be of a more economically deprived status, barely managing to get into this country and running away from extreme poverty situations. They also often come here as single people or just one member of the family, who is sending money back to the rest of the family at home or works seasonally, saving their money and taking it back home in the off-season. This does not leave any extra money for investing in a franchise store situation.

Either way, though, I agree that they should be more realistically displayed in commercials!

i think it depneds on the ares you live in. The duncan donuts where live has many cultures working there, usually young ppl (16-22) In the one where my brother lives (in Mississippi) only black ppl work there. But yeah its seems where i live, the convience stores are owed by indians/middle eastern. My dad says they get it tax free, but i dont knoow how true that is...Also my friends dad owns several subways in my area, and hes white, so i guess it totally depends on teh area luv...

I've noticed this as well. Possibly because Americans Black & White feel there to good to take these jobs. We may have our teenagers work at these places for extra cash etc. Were spolied, I think they have better work ethic and could care less where they work as long as they bring home a legal paycheck. I admire that!

"they do no longer seem to realize Keynesian Economics." We know it, we in basic terms disagree. F.A. Hayek (the line to Serfdom) promises the antithesis to Keynes. each and every government interference creates an economic inefficiency that must be conquer. The extra effective the interference, the extra effective the inefficiency. Even in all probability the main staunch conservatives agree that some government legislations is rewarding. all of us choose the federal government to mint foreign places funds. So, we are all socialists to a lesser degree. we've seen the dark side of capitalism (infant no longer common artwork, environmental destruction, and so on.). yet errors from loose markets are much less complicated to ideal than the blunders of draining the country's wealth by utilising severe socialism. "they do no longer seem to opt to help minorities or the undesirable." we want minorities and the undesirable to help themselves. The optimism that they could be waiting to is the truest testomony to human worth. The Liberal theory that they won't (in u.s. are you kidding?) is racist and dehumanizing. "they supply theory to the economic device will in basic terms restore the full element in case you in basic terms circulate away it by capacity of myself, are you waiting to assert housing substantial situation?" The housing substantial situation replaced into as quickly as delivered on by way of government interference in the type of Democratic initiatives topersistent credit availability to persons that would now no longer locate the funds for to make the loan payments. Had it now no longer been for government provides you, the loans ought to now no longer have been made and there ought to have been no bubble to burst and effect in a substantial situation. A greenback invested in the non-public sector will generate $a million.10 in wealth. A greenback invested in government will produce 80 cents in wealth. people on unemployment repayment are in basic terms very unproductive government team. thank you for no longer something, Obama.
