My father was too drunk most of the time. I don't remember him ever hugging me.

my dad was or rather is a workaholic so i didn't really seem him that much when i was young... then my parents divorced and i saw him two weekends a month. he's been ill in the last few years and i guess he's gotten a greater perspective on his life and his family so he's more affectionate now and we relate much better than before.

No my dad wasn't demostrative. I was the only girl and wanted to be daddy's girl. To get his attention I became a tomboy. I was always much tougher and rougher then both brothers. He died last December after 6 months suffering. I learned then he would never say the things I wanted and if I said them I would only embarass him so I came and sat with him almost everyday. I could tell he was glad I was there even though he wouldn't say so. And that we knew we loved each other without saying a word.

We showed our love for each other in other ways. Plus, I have a mom that makes up for it plenty. She LOVES her hugs.

umm...honestlie i don't think he ever hugged me. It'd be kewl if he did but its like he doesn't even care. tho, he always says i'm a ungrateful spoiled lil brat and don't deserve anything.

Yes I had a super Dad very affectionate and loving..I used to sit on his lap most evenings watching television..he did lots of things with me..fishing..swimming gardening all sorts..I really miss him now he`s gone...
