But in my mind if you want a good edgy singer I'd either choose: Delana from Rockstar Supernova challenge, Angela Glassow from the speed metal band Arch Enemy, or Amy Lee of the multi-platinum Evanesence

Classically it would have to be Maria Callas.
Folk-Wise, Sandy Denny (who sang with Fairport Convention) had a really beautiful voice.
Rock Wise at the moment I LOVE Amy Lee because she has a beautiful Alto and doesn't try to over stretch it, which is why she sounds so damn good!!!
