Well luv, it's a social thing, actually. It seems most males of the human species are self-conscious about their member's size and their capacity as good lovers / performance... In fact I would bet alot of impotancy cases could be directly related to performance anxiety and the like.
Well of course there are other reasons, but I have had my share of partners who couldn't function in bed due to stress, frustration, worryness and whatnot.
But to answer your question, yes alot of males are very self conscious about their size, even though most times there's really nothing to worry about!

I suppose many guys do. I don't. I'm average, not King Kong or anything, but not Pee Wee either. As long as it works, I'm OK.
As for the terms you referred to, I haven't heard much about GBD, but the name itself seems to define itself.
Bod Dismorphic Disorder has been recognized recently, usually in women (in regard to eating disorders), but now there are a few books about body obsession in men ("The Adonis Complex" by H. Pope, for one). Basically it's how some men are obsessing over having a perfect body, so they do crazy things like take steroids to beef up.
Pope calls this a "secret crisis of male body obsession," which I think is a load of crap. It's NOT that widespread. In fact, even eating disorders among women are not as common as we have been led to believe.

Purp, as a man I'll tell you how this starts: When guys are teens, they shower together in gym class and start comparing each other's penises -- quick glances here and there. They are also interested in sex and so look at pornography --and the guys who are models and actors in that sort of thing usually are super-endowed. Get the connection? Developing young guys think that to be a real man, who will satisfiy a woman, they have to be hung like horses -- like their well-hung friends in gym class or the male porn stars they gawk at every once and a while. It's a vicious cycle that can have a drastic effect on a man's ego, even later in life.
(By the way, guys do the same thing when comparing their own physiques and musculature to other guys.)

Hello,
In most cases, erectile dysfunction is caused by something physical. Sometimes it's caused by psycological problems. The brain plays a key role in triggering the series of physical events that cause an erection, starting with feelings of sexual excitement. You can learn more about this problem and about natural remedies here http://erectiledysfunction.toptips.org. It's an eye opening site!

Was told by a woman who claimed to have had sex with over 100 men in her life, "It is not how big it gets, but how hard it gets that counts!"

I am sure that all men have worried at some point in time. But it is not always the size, I agree with the hardness and how it is used.

its an age thing.
When you are young & insecure about your sexuality & performance its a big issue. Just look at this site - I`ve lost count of the number of "my penis is ??inches long is this normal" questions. As you mature & become more comfortable with yourself you realise that it is really not an issue.

I don't think that applying a label to this matter is useful in any way...having said that,it's something that men worry more about than global warming or WW III.

Yes, most men are worried about size since almost all women prefer something pretty large(over 8in).
