It surely means HE is not over YOU. He is regretting that things did not work out and is thinking how things used to be when they were good between you two. Now he knows he can not have you, he messed up somehow, regrets it deeply and is crying about it!

People become an ex in your life for a reason and it's usually because you could not stand to be around each other any more. When you fell in love with the man you are with it showed you had moved past your ex and was ready to begin a life with someone new. The minute you back stepped into an old relationship then the term ex no longer applies. You don't run into an ex just to catch up on what they are doing and if you had concerns you would have asked your husband what he thought of the idea first and you would not be in this mess. You were trying to hide something and now you are paying the price.

If you're married, then this is a bad situation to be putting yourself into. When these types of temptations come up, go the other route and leave it alone. If your guy is upset, it's becasue he should be. There is not reason to need to catch up with an ex unless you are looking to rekindle some sort of emotional bond you don't have in your life right now. Ex's are ex's. Leave them there. Focus on being the best wife you can be, and meeting up with an ex isn't one of the ways you accomplish that.

It means that you're sorry for the good times you once shared with him but won't be able to share again. It's sort of like a loved one died. There is some grief in these things even if the parting was bitter, and even if you feel like the new relationship is better for you. But you will grow past this and adjust to the change and it won't hurt as much once you build more happy memories in the new relationship.

I am a women but I will say this, even we wonder about ex's and wonder what could have been. If you cared for him back then nostalgia is a thing that gets alot of people in trouble. I know you asked for men only but what you experienced is a normal feeling and I will say, don't act on it because you can't go back.

Obviously you felt guilty for speaking to the ex. That tells me that there are still feelings for him.
