We just finished a series of experiments in the lab where we tried several different settings on the oscilloscpe (changing time, waveform, amplitude, etc), but we were not told how to determine this during the class.
However, an answer to this question is required in our lab report.

Thanks in advance, I will choose a best answer!

Changing the settings on the oscilloscope doesn't change the conditions of the experiment, just what you are measuring. What different experiments did you do that would help you find an optimal frequency?
