It is possible but you have to look at the records and see that it has been the Democrats that have repeatedly brought up the issue of reinstating the draft in the last 10 to 15 yrs. The Republicans have fully supported the all volunteer army. Our esteemed Senator John Kerry seems still thinks there is a draft if you take his comments in the news lately as any idication. He said very similar thinks about the soldiers in Vietnam in 1972 when you could get a college deferment from the draft.

Are they really Defense Contractors or Offense Contractors.
Defense would be protecting our ports our airports our everything. As of right this minute terrorists have access to our drinking water , our Chemical factories our food sources. True Defense would be investing in ways to protect our life. Not using our Militia for a war far overseas. If we had gotten Bin Laden instead of Saddam we would be a bit safer. If we weren't wasting money on Iraq we could really look to secure our Nation.

yes they are planning something big.. or at least preparing for the possibility.. they are thinking we will end up in either north korea, iran or both.. if that happens it will be very difficult for them to be effective in the area of ground troops with our current numbers because everyone wants to join the air force or the coast guard these days.. few want to be a marine... so if we are to invade either of those two nations they would most likely have to initiate the draft... and if they do you can be damn sure I'll be protesting, as should we all... these types of military actions don't make us any safer, they piss off the world.. hell.. going in to north korea could easily start WW III if China decides to back them up, as it probably will.... and I will have no part of bush initiated WW III

Draft should be mandatory anyway. Yes I am sure that rummey and the rest of the knuckleheads are looking to expand their war. This is the only way they can keep the US as a one party system like Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.

Right now both parties are backing more military funding and increased troop count. Being in Iraq for the long haul has our forces spread too thin.

Actually, the GOP, and President Bush in particular have declared there will be no draft. Reinstituting the draft was actually proposed by a democrat...

If the people of this country elect the republicans after all the shameless immoral, backhanded, illegal stunts they have pulled time and time again and gotten away with, with the help of the so called liberal media, then they deserve whatever they get!
I am amazed at how many people just shrug their shoulders and let these people get away with murder.
