Most men remarry within the year. It's just fact. Many women will remain alone and mourn the rest of their lives, or die shortly after their husband's death...some say of a broken heart.

i guess it depends on the person... my husband has SAID he would never be with anyone else again ... although i have told him i think that is silly and he should.... personally i think i would more for a while and probably wouldnt really LOOK for someone else but after some time i might except the IDEA of someone coming into my life.... and if that happened start a new relationship but i would never forget my past.... it would just be a continuation of life not a replacement for another

In the Jewish religion people are encouraged to get married again after husband/wife dies. It does not mean they did not love spouse but its considered a blessing to marry again.

For a while she'll morn, then maybe she'll find someone else. It depends on the personality and the need to have someone by their side.
