You are not supposed to add/change locks on an apartment. Do what I suggested in your previous post and tell your landlord that entering your dwelling without your permission is illegal and if he continues then you will notify the authorities. Stand up for yourself.

They (the owner) could take issue with it legally because they need to have entry if say, your pipes burst and water starts flooding out. I'm tempted to do the same, but do not want to face any problems that may arise from it.

No it's not. The owner/agent must always be able to gain entrance. But...by law they must give you a 24 hr notice before entering your residence unless it's a maintenance emergency.
