you know to start trying to find out why it's not charging?

If the Alternator not working and your remove the battery cable the car will die. If you have a Volt Meter just measure the voltage at the battery car off. When you start the car the voltage should go to around 13+ volts. If not the Alternator bad. Many parts Stores like Auto-Zone can do this and I know they can test the Alternator and Starters things like that, but, they may need to be removed from the vehicle.

If your car does quit when you disconnect the battery, then your alternater isn't working. If it keeps running you may have a dead short check the wiring on the electric windows, they get alot of use.

take your car to have the system checked. if you disconnect the battery you could damage youre electric system and your sensors autozone checks it for free.
