USA trades with North America under the NAFTA Agreement with Canada and Mexico.

Several studies have been made on the impact of NAFTA on the United States. Here are some of the effects of USA's trading with North American countries:

- removal of barriers to agricultural trade resulting in significant increases of USA export of agricultural products particularly to Mexico
- improved transportation system between the countries
- suffered declines in labor market esp. for garments and textiles

USA has a trade agreement with Mexico and Canada. In the early 1990s, NAFTA, North America Free Trade Association, was a big issue. As a result, many, not all, American cars are often made in Mexico and Canada. There are other USA goods made across the borders.
