Fox is just as "fair and balanced" as the rest of them. There is no such thing as objective journalism anymore. Everyone has their own agenda and their reporting reflects this.
The Center for Media and Pulbic Affairs, a non-partisan group, has this to say about the coverage leading up to this election:
Mid-term Coverage is Bad News for GOP
The tone of TV nightly network news coverage has favored the the Democratic Party in this year's mid-term. (October 31)
Also:
* This year's mid-term coverage is five times higher than 2002.
* The Mark Foley scandal has received nearly as much coverage as Iraq and terrorism combined.

There is hope. My father, a former fervent Faux News devotee, finally realized that the "American people are being lied to." If he can wake up and get a clue, the rest of you brain-washed automatons can as well.
Fox News is a rhetorically-weak (that means he or she doesn't debate all that well) liberal pitted against five rabid pit bull conservatives. If they have to stack the odds so far in their favor, then how valid is their viewpoint to begin with.
The rest of the world understands that you're being brain-washed. Educate yourselves and you'll see why.

Fair and balanced news wise.
They do have a lot of commentary but they put it out as just that.
As with anything else - turn the channel if you don't like it.
Why watch something just to moan and complain about it later?
I don't care for a lot on tv - I don't watch it and could care less when it is on.

i might like, in basic terms as quickly as, for a number of those loud mouthed, parroting babies to coach a like, only one, with evidence. yet this shouldn't take place. besides, in the event that they know a lot approximately Fox mendacity, why do they watch it a lot? isn't that in basic terms evidence to you that they are parrots, and can't think of for themselves.

Fox news is just as biased as the other news outlets but
in the other direction. Anyone who can't see that is
simply blind. Having said that, is this so bad given
there are more liberal news outlets than conservative
ones? Probably not. So now we can get biased news from
both sides.

I think they promote the owner's political agenda. A lot of it isn't even news, it's commentary. That is people interpreting the news for their own pupose.

not necessarily, but it is nice to have a view skewed in the opposite direction of most other news organizations. helps in forming an opinion when there's more than one side examined.

before Fox News came along, all we had was the liberal networks.
it's not so much the case that Fox News is "fair and balanced" in and of itself, but because it goes against the (liberal) media status quo, it provides some measure of fairness and balance. Therein lies the basis for the slogan.
