I want to buy a fridge as a gift, but I want to get a good deal. Does anyone have any good tips or recommendations on where to go?

If you don't mind it being used, join your local freecycle group and you can probably find one for free.

Here in Vegas there is this company called Econ. They take the fridges out of model homes and resell them for a deep discount. I would see if you have a place like that in your area.
A place like Sears really isn't going to give you that deep of a discount because they aren't making that much profit as is.

all refrigerators are made by the same people anyway....I bought a side by side 25 foot with an ice maker and dispenser, water dispenser for 900.00.....I just went to a local dealer and asked for the best bang for the buck....It is a Whirlpool...just think if you went down in size (mine is huge)...you could probably buy a nice fancy one for 700.00 (I even have a special ordered black front)

We'll i would just say just shop around at a couple of stores and then compare the prices. then between those prices chose the good deal which is for you.
