People are sometimes such hypocrites...?

Question

I heard a woman saying:I've never killed an animal and I can't stand people who kill them...why to kill animals anyway?
I agree with not killing animals I love them but I can't say I' ve never killed one...you know ants,centipedes (hate them),spiders
and she eats meat (pork,lamb etc.)
I would like to see her being a vegeterian and then she can brag what a saint she is!
The same goes to other people;they say 'I would never' and then the day after he/she does the exact thing!?

i agree. but the two examples you gave here are not very concluding hypocritical acts.
i can tell you stories of hypocrisy that gonna make you wanna puke.

Ants, spiders, etc. are not animals, they are insects.

There are some people who take their self-proclaimed love of animals to a silly level. I have been active in helping animals all of my life, both as a volunteer and with monitary donations. Beyond that, ALL of my animals have been someone elses throw aways.

However, I eat chicken, lamb, venison and fish. That is what there are here for; to eat and to enjoy, both. And yes, someone who says they don't kill any animal and still wears leather, eats meat, etc., doesn't get it. Maybe you can point that out to her some day. I had a silly friend who was the same way, I noticed she had a yen for expensive leather shoes. I commented that a bovine had to die so she could wear those. This is the same person that didn't like cats because they kill birds. She loved dogs however. I guess she didn't know how many squirrels, mice, etc., dogs can kill.

Go Figure???

I strongly agree with you. I love animals too but I also like meat. I am scared of spiders, ants and many other insects and flies. I believe that everyone has killed one of those animals mentioned above at least once or twice. whoever say the world never is pretty much like a liar because he or she Will do the same exact thing that he or she was swearing that he or she will never do in his or her life.

I wouldn't have the heart to shoot a deer, but I'll eat the hell out of sauteed deer steaks. I wouldn't kill a cow either, with those big brown cowy eyes looking at me, how could I? But I do like steaks.
I probably could kill a pig. They aren't as cute as a deer or cow, but I do like pork steaks and chops.
So, just because I couldn't kill a deer or a cow, doesn't mean I won't help eat it after some one else has done the dirty work.

Because they are just generalizing & not thinking about the implication's of what they are saying. Of course they may not consider ant's etc in the same way when talking about animal's in general. Myself I canno't kill a spider but would kill ant's & fly's.

in this world, ppl are hypocrities. they say they wont or dont do something until they do, and they tell u what to or not to do, and then they go and do it but people are hypocrites, really.
