But now that Iraq is in such a mess wish we just left it alone. Do you think it would be wrong to pull out now, or better to just lick our wounds and fight another day?

I never thought Saddam Hussein was a legitimate leader so why did the CIA not eliminate him when he had just started ? They knew about his atrocities, but more surprised that Mossad of Israel did not keep tabs. Israel has interest since enough Arabs want to eliminate them. The Israeli Self Defense Force destroyed his Nuclear reactor in 1981.

One question ?
Why was Saddam Hussein helped by the Reagan Administration in the 1980s ?

The 1st war Operation Dessert Storm could had been avoided.

The Democrats made a mess in VietNam

Democrats and Republicans have created faulty foreign policy.

I am glad we are helping the Iraqis, but we need to have countries around to help.

As you know Dubya has other nations helping in dealing with North Korea,so why not do the same with Iraq ?

I thought the war was a mistake from day one. It was obvious from the fall of 2002 that Bush was going to go into Iraq no matter what Saddam or the world community did.
It would be wrong to pull out not if the result is the complete collapse of the government in Iraq. In that sense we have a moral obligation to stabilize the country as much as we can, if we can, then pull out.

Well consider the effects if Hussain had gained control of Kuwaits oil,, and kept Iraq's and had continued thoughout Saudi Arabia.. and Libia etc.. then what would we pay for a gallon of gas... people need to think about it.. if this nut had control of almost all of the oil..we would probably not be able to buy gasoline at all. And he would still be exterminating all who disagreed with him... so how can Americans say it would have been best to leave this lunatic in power? and if not for our troops in WW11.. Hitler would have wiped out all races except white.. huh??.. well there would be less dems I suppose, but then real men like my father fought so that they could live... so let them vote.. no matter how dumb they are.

Saddam Hussein was a definite force for foulness. We did good in getting him out of power. The problem is all the bleeding hearts who will not let the U.S. military go ahead and do the job.

Yes I believe we did the right thing in taking him out. I wonder what George Washington would have done if he had to deal with the cut and run libs of today---like John "Benedict" Kerry.

There is a way to pull out, leave the country stable and minimize any more deaths. But Bush has to accept ideas outside of his party

I still believe taking him out of power was the right action, I just disagree with the way it was done. I disapproved of the disbanding of the Iraqi army, and the U.S. deciding not to do the "shock & awe". I feel like the U.S. want to show how strong they were by disbanding their army, and they should have use the Iraqi army to police the people.
