A person with only passion can't get squatt done, but really loves trying! A person with only skills could care less if they do it or not, but does it right and efficiently when they do. Both are necessary, however if you have an acceptable level of skills, and high passion, that's probably better than the other way around.

They are both very important, but I have found that if you do anything with a passion, the skills will inevitably follow. You cannot have a passion for something and not learn the skills that go with it...but you can have skills and not necessarily the passion to get the job done. Regardless of what you do in this world, if you do it well, you are a success.

i think skill is more important coz that way you can really know how to do things and i think sometimes if you develop a skill for something, say you are trained to do a certain type of work but you dont have the passion for it, you may end up having the passion for it just because you do it everyday. and passion without skill is nothing

Skill. You can have all the passion in the world but if you are pants at something you will not get anywhere. I really want to play for England at football but don't have any skill so...

Only the people with skills have any chance really, the people with passion on top of that will get further still.

Thing is you need to be passionate enough about something to gain the skills you require! There are no half-measures on this one I'm afraid, its best if you strive for both.
