It doesn't sound like a very hard job to replace. 7.50 per hour is $300 per week. You could probably make more than that "hostessing" at a car dealership if you sold just one or two cars a month on straight commission.
Life's too long to work for dickheads, especially at $7.50 an hour.

I would most definitely quit! But please stick it out until you find another job. Dont give him the satisfaction of knowing you are without work, even for a day or two. Plus there is always someone above your boss, maybe and owner, go to them and let them know how he is. Does he treat everyone like this? IF so, get a group to step forward and expose the jerk! Good luck!!!

I would start putting in applications to other companies. When you have another job. I would put in a two week notice...you don't want to leave on a bad note. It can come back to bite you in the ***. Just remember everywhere you work there is going to be *****.

meg,it will be foolish to quit ur job, unless u have found another(a better one).but personal satisfaction should be anyone's prime concern.whatz the use if ur job is like a mental torture.u should never cry infront of him.makes u look a weakling, and trust me he will be happy to know that he dominated u that completly.if he is a sadist(i think he is),seeing u cry will only make him happy and he will know how to hurt u.u hav to stay strong.u hav to outsmart him.give him no excuse to torture u in the future.and quit ur job only if u have found another one ..take care

He doesn't deserve to have a nice employee like you.
A good boss should be strict but in place. He should be friendly and knows how to understand different employee's concern.
You should quit your job

to the person above me, car dealerships dont have hostesses. and hostesses dont sell cars. if you sell 1 car you can make anywhere from $50 to over $2000, depends how much you rip your customer off. all car salesman are slimeballs, dont sell cars. i sold them before and im disgusted with the business.

That amount of money is not worth taking that kind of crap. Actually no amount of money is worth that. I'd quit and spend my days job hunting for something better.
