Where is the joke? He sure didn't have a joking attitude when he belittled our service men and women.
I haven't heard one republican defend Foley.
Foley is gone. When is Kerry leaving?

I am a conservative, and I am outraged by Foley's behaviors. Nobody from the news asked me. I also am a little disappointed in how so many Rep. pundits tried to downplay it. I am also disgusted by the Democrats behavior towards Gerry Studds and his improper behaviors with underage pages. What Kerry said was wrong, I don't believe that he "botched" anything. I firmly believe that he hates the military. This has been his stance since 1972. And to be honest, his claims of being a "combat veteran" are something of a joke. My dad belongs to the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club, and I can't think of a single one of his brothers who has any respect for Kerry and his time in the service. He is simply another "Hanoi Jane".

Kinda makes you look stupid with this question, Foley is gone and finished as are all Republican screw-ups. Kerry, a traitor, is still getting re-elected as are all the rest of the Democratic screw-ups. "Botched joke"? It became known as "botched" when no one laughed and Kerry got caught again putting down the military. Oh, did you know Kerry was a Vietnam hero? I bet you didn't know that.

This is a trick question, right?
Foley is gone, finished, disgraced and ousted - if it were legal, he would have been tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.
Now, let's discus the "actions" taken against Kerry by the Liberals, shall we?
We can start with the Congressional Hearings in 1967 - his slander and lies about the United States' military is a matter of public record - where's the Liberal "outrage?"

Who's NOT outraged over what Foley did? It's DISGUSTING...
But... The man was forced to resign! The Republicans did not give him three standing ovations or elect him to higher office like the Demoncrats did after Gerry Studds was censured for actually HAVING SEX with a minor!
More liberal spin, methinks.
And why are we outraged over Kerry? How about because after insulting the troops, which is pretty true to Kerry and his M.O., he ARROGENTLY came out and defended himself, saying he appologized to no one and then trying to shift attention from himself to the president! That's a CHILDISH stunt!
Then, when he DID appologize, it was not a sincere appology, but a defensive rationalization he didn't even have the GUTS to offer himself. Instead he simply posted it on his website... And then it was not brought on by regret or contrition, but by POLITICAL PRESSURE!
Oh... I guess you're right... Nothing to be outraged about. *end sarcasm*

#1. - It wasn't a botched joke. To continue saying this, shows 'a lack of the ability to reason
#2. - Foley's out!! So why is Jon Carry still in?
#3. - Jon Carry is no only still 'in', he's also a Leader of the Democratic Party.
#4. - To insinate that OUR military is un-educated is gross negligence on the part of Jon Carry.
#5. - We are at WAR. A war being fought for ALL OF US. Insulting the very people who fight and die to protect his right to FREE SPEECH is UNTHINKABLE.
#6. - Any other questions??????????????

Conservatives WERE upset over it because it was an abuse of power. I was MORE pissed at all the people calling him a pedophile, even though he wasn't. I'm glad he resigned over it. I wish Kerry had that much sense.
What Foley did WAS worse, but they're both horrible.

I'm more outraged that you think it was a joke. Freudian slip yes. With both parties having individuals using their power to harass people, why are you identifying only one. Is this the latest spin doctoring.

Oh I guess you havent gotten their updated spin yet.
It was OK because the legal age of consent in DC is 16, so then they say the boy was 18.So they are outraged because they are good at being outraged.
