As a singer myself, I know that Mariah's voice is much better and she has an outstanding range. But, I am a little biased since my nickname in High school was Mariah (I have a bit of a range myself). ;)

they have two different vocal ranges, but both are great singers, i think alicia is the better songwriter and is very musically gifted, but i think mariah has the voice.....some of her songs (the older ones) have been known to bring tears to my eyes!
