No ithink it wasn't a bothched joke. That story was just spin to cover or to try to cover his ***. He is still living in the 1970' when we had a draft and you could get a college deferment and avoid going to Vietnam. He said very similar things in 1972. And He Apologized of couse after he refused to, Kind of like when he voted against the war before he voted for the war. wCan you liberals tell me what plan do Democrats or Liberals have for Iraq, pull out? Right and then we'd have another Cambodia and Vietnam like situation as we didi in 1975. We have to stay and you can't give any reasons that logically show otherwise. Can you tell me why the liberal media never has any positive stories about Iraq? Like the 4 new schools opened last week or the fact that oil production has surpassed prewar levels. Could it be the media has a anti Bush, anti Republican agenda? Heaven forbid we hear good news from them about Iraq or Conservatives. And what exactly is the secret plan the Democrats have for Iraq? Pull out and raise our taxes is my guess oh and apologize to Alqueda and Iran for upsetting them right.

First of all it was not a botched joke. It was the heart felt disdain for the military that Kerry has spoken of often over the past 30 years. Secondly everything goes up over time. The economy as a whole is one of the best we have ever had. All of the economist agree on that and you cannot dispute the facts. Cut the deficit in half this last year, taxes are low and revenue is up, 6.6 million new jobs were created, and personal income is on the rise.

No, but since Senator George Allen (VA) was dragged through the street by you libs for uttering "macaca", a word that neither he nor anyone else has ever even heard of, John Kerry's "botched joke" is fair game, and should be brought up over and over again, to the GOP's advantage.

Being a hard Democrat, I take offense and call to arms Mr. Bush. He is the last man who should be taking Kerry's statement and running with it. But, because the naive sheep of this country continue to listen to sound bites and clever quips or jokes, instead of wondering what ever happened to the facts, this has become a bigger story that it should be. Almost immediately after it was stated, the White House ousted the ex- presidential hopeful Vietnam vet, causing him to apologize for something that was never said. What I find most insulting to this country is how Bush raves on and on about how we Democrats are unpatriotic and have no love for America, yet he's the one who's using this line, and in essence our troops, for political gain in an election year where he knows how much of a screw- up he is. The only reason he demanded an apology was to make a bigger deal out of it, not for the troops' sake because we already know he could give a **** about that front, judging by the money going into this war and what they have actually seen. If anyone should be asking for an apology, it should be us asking Bush for one. Have we ever heard him apologize for anything though? Honestly? And if we do, it's a half-assed one, never fully apologizing but explaining the crappy things he does just on the grounds of him being "the decider." Last time I checked, this was a democracy, by the people and for the people. You are NOT the decider, we, the American people, are. But, democracy as we know it as gone to **** ever since you stole those elections those, eh? That, to me, in unpatriotic. And why hasn't he apologize for the idiotic statements he's made, like "Mission accomplished" and "Stay the course" and "Bring 'em on." Ohhhhhhhhhh, he was mistaken?!? Just like Mr. Kerry was but apologized for. If some people would take their head out of their ***, once in a while, and swallow their pride enough to say they've been mistaken for 6 years, this country could definitely become a better place than it has been for years now. I guess we'll see in 4 days now....

Certainly we don't agree on Iraq, but education costs and higher prices for gasoline are elements of a free market capitalist system. If you don't want to purchase the item at the price offered, don't buy it.

No, but a Senator's stupidity should not be ignored either. Separate but not equal.
Please, a botched joke. If it was why didn't he apologize right away?
