is there a name for it?? someone answered earlier with 'globophobia' but thats just the fear of normal balloons.
anyone know?? would be greatly appreciated!
and in response to the person who asked me why i'm scared of them, i really don't know, they just freak me out with their vastness and the fire blasting into that huge balloon.....(!)

did u have any incidents in the past related to hot air balloons? if not than it is probably just a phobia which u should get treated from by councelling.

I don't mind balloons, but the height bothers me a lot!
Something about the Fire that heats up the air would scare me. I'd see Fire going into the balloon and freak thinking that the balloon would catch fire and I'd die soon. Even though I'm fully aware of the fact that's only heating the air that's inside it and not actually touching the balloon. Fire and cloth don't mix and I'm not sure I could make my head understand that it's all right, it's supposed to act like that, once I see the fire shoot up into the balloon.

thumbelina, go to google and type in what is the fear of hot air balloons called, then click on my fear of heights and a hot air balloon-- stress management article. it's about someone that went for a ride on a hot air balloon ride and freaked out. please read it. i hope this helps you.

well hot air balloons are just like regular ones, only much bigger and gassier. lol. so u could technically still say globophobia
